I am always looking through sites like notcot in order to get input for architectural input. Today I came across this stunning piece of arch….ahm…art. I almost get goosebumps only by looking at it. Belzberg Architects created an open spaced private residence overseeing Los Angeles. They (obviously) didn’t exactely mention where the house is located at, but from the view I assume it’s somewhere around Mullholland Drive. The house features such nifty aspects as an outdoor cinema, infinity pool and free hanging fireplace.

If you are in the US on the upcoming Tuesday then you certainly shouldn’t miss the Shrek Christmas Special The Halls.

I’ve already seen it (and if you google enough you also might have the chance to do so) and since visiting Dreamworks Studios privately I somehow feel attached to the Oger. The 30 Minute almost seems like a Featurette of the upcoming Shrek 4; There’s an hilarious Guest cast including the like of Mike Meyers and others, besides, this turns out to be a little mashup of another Christmas favorite of mine: How the Grinch stole Christmas.

Anyways, I couldn’t resist stopping the movie to play right when the Credits showed up and my friend Ryan really showed up. Then I felt happy. I was happy for him and would have wanted to meet up with the guys over there as soon as possible. This time with Isabel, who spent more than a year in Cali.

Last, It made me think a little bit about why it’s called “The Halls”?! After seeing the entire piece I am pretty sure it’s supposed to be a subliminal Hint to Edvard Grieg’s “In the Hall of mountain King” – a gorgeous peace of classical music.
