Finally, the long awaited official trailer for Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life” has arrived. It features Brad Pitt and Sean Penn. Mesmerizing cinematography by Emmanuel Lubezki.

I hate Television but most probably know that also people who hate TV should watch Mad Men. People should watch Don Draper smoking cigarettes 24/7, kicking off the day with Whiskey in the office and listening to RJD2 at the very beginning.

It’s a perfect blend of everything. Style, story, playing with the viewer’s wishes, strong characters, great acting, well dressed, intense….and the best opening sequence in a long time (Curiously disabled for embedding by AMC).

I’ve closely watched Sony’s PR Initiatives for the upcoming Fincher picture The social network. As far as we know it’s going to be the story of how facebook was founded and developed into a behemoth of all walks. I am telling you – this is just the start for a series of feature films based upon successful internet stories.

The trailer for the upcoming movie hast just been released and although it doesn’t give much of a glimpse I am looking forward to this.

I came across an amazing, disturbing, yet mesmerizing documentary about the controversial bullfight.

Now this is going to be a little difficult, so stay with me.

How much does your life weigh? Imagine for a second you are carrying a backpack. Ivan Jason Reitman did 4 short movies. He then directed Thank you for smoking (notably executive produced by Tech Entrepreneur David Sacks) and right after that Juno. Impressive for somebody born in ’77. His new masterpiece is called “up in the air“. The trailer is a thing of beauty. It’s such a perfect blend of an amazing underlying soundtrack, George Clooney’s Voice and staggering images. They could make you laugh, cry and shiver – all at once. Reitman is my personal Hollywood wunderkind (although originating from Canada).

The soundtrack comes from Textile Ranch/Charles Atlas and is called Genova

Together with Alexandra I’ve also created a quick, dirty but sexy site dedicated to this trailer. Jason apparently also knows about that.

It’s not a secret that I am kind of addicted to movie trailers. In my opinion it’s an art itself to produce, cut and spread Movie trailers. Especially when the movie sucks but trailer looks gorgeous which is the case rather often.

Eventually I found a way on how to download those slick Movie Trailers from Apple.com/trailers (even in HD) with a little work around

1. Go to the Movie Trailers’ Website, i.e. Moon (which is a great!)
2. Right-click or click on the “View” Tab in your browser and look at the “Source Code” of the site
3. Now look for the Trailer file you want to download (Either HD or Normal and the size, 720p, etc.)
4. I’ve chosen the 720p HD Version of the Trailer Moon, which looks like that: http://movies.apple.com/movies/sony/moon/moon_480p.mov
5. Now add a little Magic by adding the letter “h” in front of the Movies size; In this case it should look like this: http://movies.apple.com/movies/sony/moon/moon_h480p.mov
6. Put that File in your Download Manager of Choice (Speed Downloader, iGetter, etc.) and that’s it
7. Enjoy the trailer over and over and over…

i’ve postet this already a while ago, but i can’t get enough of the composition of this short flick by wes anderson. the color correction, the camera movement on the dolly, schwartzman and portman…well…you might want to watch it again as well.
